Memories on film...
For me, film creates a great sense of nostalgia. It is a less modern for of photography that focuses more on capturing the exact moment an event is happening. With photography today, the aesthetics is prioritised over this, and that is why I have chosen to dedicate some time to understanding this specific art further.
I chose to display film pictures from my travels because film gives a sense of nostalgia.
Film fails...
Developing my own film
For development on this stage, I wanted to have a go at developing my own film to further understand the process. I took these B&W exposures during a trip to London. To be completely honest, I had underestimated the difficulty of the process. For my main selection on this stage, I had used an automatic film camera, so when I was trying to use the manual settings, I struggled with adjusting the exposure.
